DENVER — Every four years Americans across this great nation exercise the incredible privilege of electing a President. It is one of the cornerstones of our democracy, the greatest in the world, that sometimes creates an atmosphere of confusion with the barrage of political advertisements and talking points that voters are subjected to.

DENVER — Election Day is almost here. Do you know where your voting center is?

The first step is to make sure you are registered to vote. Voter registration ended on Oct. 9. You can check your registration status on the Colorado Secretary of State’s website.

If you are looking for voting information for your county, visit this website, which has an interactive map of clerks and recorders offices by county around the state. 

Checking your registration status will also allow you find out which voting location you should go to on Election Day.  You can use the Google map below to find the closest polling place to your home. Just enter your address below.

DENVER — It took 16 years to get a convicted murderer into a Denver courtroom for killing a mother of three.

But justice may not be so simple for the victim’s family—where even a day in prison for the suspect seems too long to them.

There is a reason why.

Everett Donelson of Parker feels the sting of his daughter, Sheri Majors’ vicious murder in 1996, by a man who lived in freedom for 14 years before turning himself in last year.

Chester Todd had already been in prison for killing a man in 1967. And now with a life sentence likely, Majors’ family feels it’s not quite fair.

There are many forms of justice in this world.

“No, I don’t particularly want the charge dropped. I want everybody to know he’s convicted of this crime, of murder, that he’s a murderer,” says Donelson.

But for the 69-year-old, justice provided by the courts may not be the most fair.
